Widgets and views are unlimited on every plan, including the free one. What the paid plans buy you is a second and third live form, and analytics that go back further than a week. Below is exactly what changes, and where it does not.

A live form is a published widget that collects submissions: a contact form, a waitlist, a signup, a feedback box. Free gives you one. Not one at a time, one total.
That is deliberate, and it is the honest reason most people upgrade. One form covers a contact page. The moment you want a contact form and a waitlist, or the same form on two client sites as separate collections, you have hit the wall. Basic raises it to three, Creator to fifteen.
Everything that does not collect submissions stays unlimited on free. Countdowns, pricing tables, galleries, menus, accordions, and every other widget can be published as many times as you like without touching this limit.
Every form emails you when something lands, on every plan including free. By default the alert tells you a submission arrived and links to it, one per widget per 15 minutes, so a form having a good afternoon does not turn into fifty emails. Your visitors' answers stay behind your login.
If you would rather read the submission in the email itself, open the collection's menu in the Database tab, choose Email settings, and tick Include submission contents. That switches to one email per submission, up to 20 an hour. At the ceiling it sends you a note saying so rather than going quiet, because a notification system that silently stops is worse than one that never started.
Caught spam never emails you, either way. It goes to the Spam tab for review, because a filter that still pings you for every blocked message has not saved you anything.
Because Fugte hosts the widget rather than handing you a file to paste, it can tell you which sites are loading it. Every published widget reports:
Free accounts see the last 7 days. Paid plans pick 7, 30, or 90. Basic and Creator get the same window, so analytics is a reason to leave the free plan, not a reason to pick Creator over Basic.
The counts are approximate. View events are sampled, so treat the numbers as proportions and trends rather than an exact ledger. If you need precise per-visit accounting, this is not that, and no amount of paying changes it.
They are, and the reason is worth understanding before you spend anything. A catalog tool is cheaper because you are buying a catalog: a fixed set of widgets, each with the settings its authors chose to expose. If the widget you need is in that catalog, buy theirs. It will cost less and it will work. Fugte costs more because it generates the widget you describe instead of picking one off a shelf, and then keeps it editable afterward. That is only worth paying for if what you need is not on the shelf, or if you will need to change it again.
Each day your balance tops up, by more on a day you actually sign in than on a day you do not. The number on each plan is the highest that balance goes, not a monthly ration. Two things follow. You cannot save credits up over a quiet month to spend all at once, and if you use it most days you can get through more in a month than the headline figure, because it keeps refilling as you spend.
Open any widget, click Code, and download a self-contained copy of the HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. That works on every plan including free, and it is the answer to whether you are locked in. What hosting gives you is the stable link and the propagating edits; the code itself was always yours.
It does not expire, widgets and views are unlimited, and every starter is included. One live form, 7 days of analytics, and a small badge on published widgets are the limits. If you need one widget on one site and will not change it much, that is the whole product for you, and a subscription would be a mistake. If the badge is the only thing in the way, $9.99 removes it from that one widget for good: tied to that widget, not transferable, and editing stays as it was.
Unlimited widgets, every starter included, and no card. The paid plans are there for when one form stops being enough.
